Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She has been widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in legal settings. Professor Goodman has published widely, received many grants and has been awarded many international and national distinctions. She has offered consulting on research and policy for numerous government agencies and departments across the world. She is currently a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She's a member of a variety of professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
